Who Should Study this Course?

The students of elementary education who want to study in science or arts group in their matriculation, this subject is compulsory for them. In both Punjab and Federal board this subject is being taught as a major subject. There is a little difference between both board about this subject in marks distribution and paper pattern.

 

What is 9th Class Math?

There are seventeen chapters in this course which are briefly described in the course book in both boards. In this course students have to learn completely basic level of Math. Each chapter consists on complete information. Student will have to learn from definition to all formulas covering algebra, logarithms and many more pertaining to this subject. Here is the course of all chapters:

·         Real and complex numbers

·         Algebraic expressions and algebraic

·         Algebraic manipulation

·         Linear equations and inequalities

·         Introduction to coordinate geometry

Paper Pattern of 9th Class Mathematics for Punjab Board Students

As I have mentioned that there is a little difference of paper pattern in both boards. But firstly I will discuss the Punjab board paper pattern.

In Punjab board total marks of this subject are Seventy five (75). There are Two Portion of this course including Subjective and Objective. The objective portion consists on fifteen (15) marks which have to be attempted in twenty Minutes. Every single question has to be attempted by filling the circle accurately.

The next portion is subjective portion which consists on Short Questions and Long Questions. There short questions are further divided into three Sub Sections. In every sub section there are (9) nine Question in which student has to attempt any six Questions. Each question carries equal marks which is (2) two Marks per Question.

In subjective portion there are five Long Questions and each long question has Two Sub questions of Four Marks per each question. The student has to attempt any three questions. There may sometimes appear a compulsory question too.

 

·         Objective type (MCQs)         = 15 marks

·         Short Questions  section (1)   = 12 marks

·         Short Questions section (2)    = 12 marks

·         Short Questions section (3)    = 12 marks

·         Subjective type (Long Qs)     = 24 marks

·         Total marks                                = 75 marks

 

How to Attempt Paper:

The students are advised firstly read the objective portion carefully. There is no need to tick early in haste take your time to understand the question and be sure of the answer before filling that circle. Read the whole objective paper. Read the question carefully and tick the relevant answer by filling the right circle accurately.

The subjective portion also requires a careful view and understanding before being attempted. Read the short questions and write the answers of those questions about which you know properly. Do not write the answer of the question about which you do not know of. No need to attempt more than five questions. You also need to know that short question’s answer must be a brief one consisting upon roughly 30 to 50 words.

The methodology is same in attempting the long questions section. There are three questions in the long questions portion in which student has to attempt two questions. Give the answers of those questions on which you have the grip properly. Give the answer according to question.

 

Paper Pattern of the 9th Mathematics for Federal Board

In federal board the Mathematics paper has the Three Section A, B, and C. The section A is consists on Multiple Choice Questions. There are (15) fifteen question in this portion which student has to attempt all.

The next section is B, which is consists on Short Type of Question. There are 18 eighteen short Type of questions and every student has to attempt to any 12 twelve questions and each question contains three marks. The Section C is consists on Long Type of Questions. In this section there are total seven Questions in which student has to attempt three questions. Each question has the 8 eight Marks. Similarly there are total 60 marks of the Subjective portion 36 marks of the short type Questions and 24 marks of the long type of questions.

·         Subjective type (Long Qs)   = 24 marks

·         Total Marks                             = 75 marks

 

How to Attempt Paper:

The paper attempting methodology of the federal board is also same just like the Punjab board. No need to haste in attempting the questions. Simply give the answers of the question which you know properly.
